I have had my blaze for a week. I want to love it but it isnt doing what it should. WHen I bike it cuts out my full workout about half way up. I have an iPhone 6S. I use strava app before this and it never happened. Is there an os update coming down the line or what options is there for this to get fixed? TIA

last week I said this... "I have had my blaze for a week. I want to love it but it isnt doing what it should. WHen I bike it cuts out my full workout about half way up. I have an iPhone 6S. I use strava app before this and it never happened. Is there an os update coming down the line or what options is there for this to get fixed? TIA" A mod resonded by posting a link to another question/answer that was asked. In no way did that link answer my question. I go on the same mountain bike trail every day and the Strava app uses my phone GPS to track where I go and it works perfect every time. When I use my blaze it cuts out like I stopped biking up the trail. This is 100% a Fitbit blaze issue. If it wasnt why does my strava app work perfect every time? TIA

While I have other complaints about the Blaze (seriously lacking step count), the biking exercise is working quite well. I also use Strava independently because I use it as a "dashboard" on my phone mounted to my bike.
Before I head out I start up the FitBit app (to ensure the Blaze will sync), then start up the Strava app. On the Blaze I open Excercise > Biking. I then start my ride on Strava and hit the go button on the Blaze. It has worked consistently.
Are you sure you aren't accidently hitting the pause on the Blaze while riding? I have done this before.

Thank you for responding. Yes I am positive I am not accidentaly hitting the stop button. Just yesterday for an example it shut off (I can tell by looking at the map) when I was going down a steep narrow hill in the mountains. I did what you did at first and thought maybe there was a glitch taht the gps couldnt give 2 apps the info and that is why it shut off so then I tried just taking strava off my phone and the same thing happens. There was one time where it worked and the rest it stops at diffrent times.

What you are doing should work with Blaze. I have an iPhone 5s and usually record bike rides with:
- RideWithGPS running on phone, using phone's GPS
- Apple Watch connected via Bluetooth using phone's GPS
- Garmin Edge 520 connected via Bluetooth for weather updates and phone notifications
Works fine, no problem, and all three report same distance and other stats. I let Garmin Connect sync the ride to Strava, TrainingPeaks, MapMyFitness, and Endomondo (which syncs basic activity time/distance/calories back to Fitbit)
Aria, Fitbit MobileTrack on iOS. Previous: Flex, Force, Surge, Blaze

Welcome to the Community @LightUpTheU and @thegreenmnm, @bbarrera thanks for stopping by! If you are having problems with the Blaze connecting to your phone, I recommend checking our Why isn't GPS working with my Blaze? article, where you will be able to find some requirements and troubleshoot to make this feature work properly.
I hope this helps, let me know the outcome.
