I'm an electrical engineer so when my fit bit blaze started bit charging I figured just opening it up and seeing what the problem was would be a great idea. I never expected to find one of the charging pads covered in battery acid with more acid leaking out onto the PCB! So Fitbit I am sure you are aware of this issue but though posting about it publicly might help motivate some action to make sure your products are safer in the future.

no photos @DarthKlein.
A pc board could not be the source of this acid. From what I understand a lithium battery is solid.
Have you contacted Fitbit yet?

A warm welcome to the Community @DarthKlein and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.
It's weird to hear that you are experiencing this with your Blaze. As suggested, could you please provide me with a picture of it by following the instructions provided in this post?
Hope to hear from you soon.

Over the last few weeks I have noticed my wrist getting red right under where I wear my Fitbit2. My skin was pealing as if burned. I noticed a crusty substance leaking out of back of my Fitbit. If it’s not the battery then someone explain what is leaking and burning my skin. This product is defective and harmful to the consumer.
Fitbit do the right thing and recall this product. Do your homework and google this problem you will see that it not an “isolated “ problem.
