Fitbit Blaze, accuracy and questions

I have found the Blaze to be a major contributor of annoyance to my life.

1.  As noted in many threads, it does not track flights accurately, compared to my One.

2.  While already having some health issues a while back, it was all exacerbated by the fact that my Blaze was showing my heart rate all over the place.  Resting rate 118 one minute, then 70 the next.

3.  The Fitbit App seems to give "preference" to the Blaze.  I'm always having to change it to use my One as Primary device, but it doesn't agree with that, so it changes it back to Blaze for Primary device.

4.  If I turn off All Day Sync on the Blaze, it turns off All Day Sync on the One as well.  I want my One to sync without having to compete with the Blaze.

5.  Even if I do turn off All Day Sync for both, it is difficult to sync my One, because it will spend a LONG time trying to sync the Blaze first (which is powered off because it just flat-out pisses me off).

Yep, it seems that Fitbit really, really wants to treat my Blaze like "Top Dog", but it's a sorry dog.
I'd like to be able to use the Blaze when my One is re-charging, but I guess my only option at this point is to remove the Blaze (@ $200.00) from my Fitbit dashboard and discard it along with the nice, expensive stainless steel band ($129.95 -- now selling for $64.95) that I bought for it.

In short, the Blaze is a non-stop pain:  inaccuracies and errant behavior.  Fitbit acts as if my One is a "perimeter" item of little importance, when that is the one that I now rely on, but I still can't get around the constant annoyances created by the Blaze.  Yes, it's version is up to date and all that stuff.  I'm worn out with it.  Time to trash it, I guess.  Why is it automatically assumed that my Blaze should take preceedence over my One?

After a bit of research, it appears that I'd have to get a Charge 2 or a Surge in order to have the "Floors Climbed" function.  MORE $$$.  I have to wonder it they would (by Fitbit algorithm) "compete" with my One just as my "oh-so-smart" Blaze does.

Any ideas on that?  It's like this:  If I'm driving my Kia, I don't want some app trying to tell me what's going on with my Cadillac (parked in the garage) while I'm not driving it and constantly trying to sync with the Cadillac instead of giving me the current data (speed, engine temp, etc.) from my Kia while I'm driving it.  That's about as clear an analogy as I know how to make.

@oliverleveritt Fitbit seems to have an order to the sync algorithm and seems to default to the one added last. I was able to switch it by removing the desired f tracker then re-adding it.

Now as for which tracker it uses to collect data, this would be the tracker with the steps being counted.

Of course this means only one tracker may be worn at a time.

I'm not sure if you trying to see live data in the app, but I find if the wrong tracker is displayed on the dashboard, I simply force a sync to the tracker that I'm wearing.

Disclaimer  I currently have 4 trackers connected to my account.

Hmmm . . .  I guess I could remove the One and then re-add it to see if it got bumped to the top of priority.

I only wear one tracker at a time.  As for "live data", the re-add might improve that situation.

Thanks.

@oliverleveritt, to add to what @Rich_Laue has said, the only app that has a concept of "primary device" is the Windows Phone app, so which Fitbit syncs first may be as @Rich_Laue has suggested.  I always just select the tracker I am wearing and force a sync.  I agree that it is annoying when it endlessly tries to find a Fitbit that isn't being actively used...

All day sync does seem to be an Account setting rather than a tracker setting, despite the way it appears on the app -- well spotted.

In any case, you are correct that your dashboard will try to sync all trackers connected to your account.  You might find it is easier if your Blaze is turned on and ready when you sync.  Then it can just be "done and dusted" as the Brits say, and ready to switch whenever your One needs a charge...

As for the floor counting, I honestly don't think the Blaze is very different from the other wrist worn trackers.  They are all very susceptible to inaccuracies (mainly due to weather).  My experience is that for almost everything (including floor counting) the One is the most accurate Fitbit, but I personally enjoy the extra functions of the wrist worn ones, including heartrate.  I see that you had some discrepancies in resting HR.  Fitbit does use a different way of calculating this, and wrist heartrates are not as accurate as chest straps, but over time I think there is some valuable information to be gained.

I often violate all the rules and wear the One at the same time as the Blaze.  It works pretty well.

Just some of my thoughts!
