Hey guys, 

I just wanted to give a heads up for a temporary work around to sync issues with this device since there wasn't much helpful info here. Turn off your WiFi and restart your phone, I have had tons of success doing this on my pixel. Hope this helps a few frustrated users!!

Even though the Google Pixel 2 XL is not a compatible device for syncing, it's great to hear that doing this did the trick for you. Hopefully other users will find this helpful!
