Fitbit Blaze continually having to pair to my phone

Just got fitbit blaze. Synced to android phone ok and paired it through Bluetooth to receive notifications, but every few minutes my fitbit unpairs and I have to pair it up again. So frustrating! How can I fix this so that it stops unpairing itself??

Hello @CraigChappy are you pairing the Blaze or the Blaze classic, used only for music. 

Notifications go through the Blaze and the Blaze can not be directly paired by the user. Therefore I do not understand what you e pairing.

Hi thanks for your post. I'm trying to get notifications of txts, emails
and phone calls on my blaze. The blaze is paired to my android phone. I get
the notifications if I go to settings on blaze and click Bluetooth control
to pair, but within a few minutes it automatically switchs off so I don't
get the notifications till I go through the process again.
Am I doing something wrong? How do I get notifications from my phone
consistently?

The pair function on the Blaze is used ivy to pair the Blaze classic to the phone, and only used to control music. Is blaze classic paired to your phone?
