Fitbit Blaze firmware update -- A source of many pains and frustration..!

I think Fitbit should rethink how firmware is to be updated on their trackers becuase their current method is extremely inefficient and frustrating to even the seasoned users.

First of all, the tracker should not be put out of service when the firmware being downloaded from the web to the phone.  Due to the speed of the wifi or data connection, it can take 7 min to 30 minutes just to download the firmware into the phone and then another 5 - 10 min to send the firmware to the tracker.  Time is precious and users should be forced to wait that long in order for the tracker to work.  It is even worst when the tracker is new in box.  The unit is basically useless unless a software update is applied and the app won't let you view your stats unless you update your tracker.

Second of all, update should be downloaded to the phone first and then the user be allowed to send the update to the tracker at anytime. If you have a speedy internet connection at work but you need the tracker to be in service, it is more convenient to download the update at work and then install the update when you are back at home.  Imagine your phone goes into lockdown mode everytime when facebook app gets an update.
