Fitbit Blaze heart monitor no longer reading

The lights stay on and I get a constant read of 70 -even when I’m not wearing the watch- I’ve updated, shutdown, deleted and  re- paired. Very frustrating-

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with your heart rate monitor no longer working properly. I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help you. I appreciate your efforts to resolve the issue. Please confirm if you've tried to turn off the heart rate monitor by following these steps: Swipe to Settings and find Heart Rate Tracking, turn it off. Please also confirm the steps to restart your device: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
