Fitbit Blaze notifications turning off by itself

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a fitbit blaze paired with an iphone 6.

To my knowledge all software (including fitibit app) is up to date.

About once per day on average (sometimes multiple times/day) I wont get notifications (texts, etc) to my blaze.

I'll check the blaze itself (not the app) by swiping down from the "home" screen on the blaze, and "notifications" have somehow been switched to "off".

At which point I have to turn them back on...again...

It's not life or death, but, it's pretty annoying. #firstworldproblems

anyone have any insight??

Hi there @MK7.  Good to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

What you describe is very strange and I'm not really sure what could be causing this. Do you by any chance think that there's any type of gesture you'd make either with the hand you're wearing your tracker on or with the other hand that could cause it to turn the notifications off accidentally? If you think that could not be the case, this might be a glitch with the tracker itself, so you could try to give it a restart.

You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot. Let me know if that makes any difference!

This has been happening to me on and off ever since I got my Blaze 2 years ago!  Annoying, but have just got used to it now.

I'm not sure what "gesture" you could mean. Is there some some conceivable gesture that would turn notifications off? ... Lets just say that, to my knowledge, I'm not performing any unusual gestures of any kind that are outside of the bounds of normal human activity. It would surely be an unusual gesture indeed to be accidentally swiping the notifications off whilst unaware. I take it off while sleeping, so, that is out as an option.

I will try the re-boot, though I have re-booted multiple times over the 6 moths or whatever that I've owned my blaze, and have never noticed it resolving the issue to date.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi @Sandrusza, good to see you in the Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry that this is also happening to you but as I said above, you could try to give it a restart and see if that makes any difference.

@MK7, thanks for getting back! I totally understand what you say, I was just thinking about possible causes for this to happen but in that situation, I'd hope this to be only a one time glitch and that restarting the tracker will help.

Let me know if you need more help!

This solution did not work.

I have been keeping an eye on it over the course of the last couple of weeks since my inital post, and the problem persists. About 4 or 5 times/week it sets itself to "Notifications - Off" if I swipe down from the main screen. Sometimes it goes a couple days with no issue, sometimes it happens 2 or 3 times in one day.
