Fitbit Blaze paired with iPad but still can't setup notifications in app

I have paired my FitBit Blaze with my iPad via Bluetooth, but when I try to setup notifications in the Fitbit app, there is a message coming up which says "pairing required."

Hi, @liamdale00, all pairing must be done through the Fitbit app, not via your iPAd's bluetooth settings.

 

What happens if you click "set up" on the above screen?

Sense, Charge 5, Inspire 2; iOS and Android

Yes @liamdale00, i agree with @Julia_G. First you need to go into your Bluetooth settings and remove the Blaze.

Now take a closer look at your screen shot, you see the words "Set up" in the popup? This is the app prompting you on what direction to go. Press setup, then i believe the next screen has something like enable.
