Fitbit Blaze takes a lot of time to SYNC sleep data, but sync up of Steps and other data is quick

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem and what is the solution.

My Fitbit blaze syncs up data on number of steps, calories etc quickly with the Android App. But same is NOT true with sleep data.

When I wake up in the morning, Fitbit takes a lot of time to sync up sleep data with the App (Few hours). But step data gets synchronized pretty quickly (within minutes).

I am seeing this problem especially after upgrading the latest version which tracks different sleep stages.

Steps are convoluted by the tracker, sleep is computed on the server.after the tracker has synced. 

The app syncs the tracker then checks the in cloud server for any updates 

If the server hasn't responded soon enough, the app stops checking. 

A second sync will then be needed. 

I've had days where it took 6 hours for sleep to show up.

Is there a solution or work around to speed up this SYNC? Ideally one would like to see the data first thing in the morning (and not after few hours 🙂   ).

 

Some more info on this issue:

My device firmware recently got upgraded with the feature which tracks NOT just high level sleep, but also various sleep stages etc. For this to work, HRM (Heart Rate Monitor) has to be switched on.

 

I understand that this would generate more data and processing of this data may take more time.

 

But I am observing that even in cases where HRM is NOT turned on, it still takes a lot of time to SYNC sleep data. (In fact, most of the times, I am not keeping HRM on and it still take a lot time to SYNC).

 

Could be due to time taken on the server side as you have mentioned.

Normally I find it only tskesta few seconds, but even with heart rate off sleep still needs to be detected and calculated.
