Fitbit Blaze won't pair with iPhone 7

My blaze stopped syncing with my iPhone a few days ago.  I tried everything to get it to sync (restarted blaze, restarted phone, turned Bluetooth off then back on, turned blaze off the back on) and finally decided un-pair the blaze, hoping that re-pairing it would fix the issue.  When I attempt to pair the blaze, I get the pairing code on my watch but when I enter it on the phone it just says "Connecting to Fitbit" and nothing else changes.  My blaze is nearly a year old and this is the first problem like this I've encountered.

I managed to solve the problem (iPhone 7).  I removed all devices (I have a blaze and the aria scale) then logged out of my account in the app.  I then deleted the app entirely, restarted the blaze then turned the blaze off entirely in the settings menu.  Next I re-installed the app, logged into my account and re-synced the Blaze.  It worked, but the syncing plus the update took about 40 minutes.  I then re-synced the aria.  I ended up losing about 11 days worth of sleep / step / hr tracking, but the blaze is finally working again.

my only guess as to the source of the problem is that the latest app update has a kink in it somewhere.  I didn't have trouble pairing other Bluetooth devices and the Blaze didn't have trouble populating the pairing code or continuing to deliver text message alerts and calendar reminders while the syncing was down.  The app just seemed to stall out when it was its turn to pair.

my wife had the same issue with her Blaze and her iPhone 6, but she could only fix the problem by pairing through our iPad Air 2 - she couldn't through the phone at all 😕

I note that you have tried restarting the Blaze but this is known to not always work so it's worth trying that again a few more times

I've tried restarting it about 20 times now.  No dice.

Been having the same problem with my iPhone 6S. Haven't been able to sync it for the past week, so I tried installing the update. It wouldn't complete the update, so I restarted my Blaze, restarted my phone, deleted the app, removed the device, etc. Now I can't add my Blaze back. Getting annoyed.

All I can suggest in these situations is to try multiple restarts (3 or more) using this procedure:

Try the troubleshooting for update failures at:

And if all that fails then it's time to contact customer support:

I just bought the iphone 7.  No issues with syncing Blaze...but can't sync my Aria. I did not have the Aria on my old phone's FitBit account.  Everything on the Aria set up was fine up until the last step, where it just got stuck on "Connecting...." then it would time out.  I can use the Aria scale, and it gives me a weight, but it calls me "Guest" instead of my initials (provided to FitBit during Aria setup).  It's like it's just not connecting to my iPhone 7.  I've verified my ISP router setup (per FitBit) and everything is set up to 802.11b config.  I've deleted FitBit app on old iPhone; I've deleted/re-downloaded Fitbit app on new iPhone.  Connect/disconnect Bluetooth on both phones.  I'm at a total loss here and extremely frustrated!!!  I've spent over 2 days trying to get Aria connected to my iPhone 7 FitBit app.  Any suggestions would be welcomed.

There needs to be a mass petition publicly to bring Fitbit in line with its consumers. It wants to lead the market so lead!!!  Almost all devices have a item you click on it such as Blaze that sends a signal to Iphone. Please accept me to pair!!!  Where the hell are your engineers. This is the usual design standard join the world.  Maybe go get engineers who have done this before.

This worked for me.  Go into the Fitbit app.  Click on account icon, upper right corner.  Select Blaze.  Scroll down to "all-day sync" and turn it on.  Follow the prompts to pair the Blaze.  After I tested the pairing by having someone send me a text, I went back in and turned off "all-day sync" but I'm still paired.  Hope this helps.  Brandon

I have an iPhone 7 and I have had a fit bit blaze for less than a year. My Fitbit is constantly getting disconnected from my phone and will not sync.  I turn off my phone, turn off blue tooth, reset my fit bit, put my fit bit in the charger, I have turned off Bluetooth on every device in the house. This last time I removed the device from my app and then finally removed the app and reloaded it. It will not sync.  Why is this so difficult and frustrating. Honestly I’m ready to buy something else.  Make this easier to use please!!  And please do not ask me to do any of those things I already mentioned because I have done them about 4 times. What a waste of my time.

I run Apple 7 plus 11.4.1 with Blaze, yes it does disconnect especially when the Blaze battery runs down. But usually stays connected. Many months back had the problem but no more now. No idea why. Check the last option on the watch. Settings to automatically hook
