Fitbit Blaze wristband

I love my Blaze but I had to buy large as could not find a small size. Can I buy smaller sized wristband to replace current wristband? It is too bulky and irritating feel. Is leather lighter? I see them cheap on eBay but wonder if will make a difference

Yes, you can buy a different band since the face is the same regardless of band size -

There are some great options on Amazon - not sure of the leather.

Leather isn't lighter.  It's stiffer and doesn't breathe as well.  I like the look and feel of the leather over the standard strap that came with the Blaze.  One benefit to the leather is that I feel vibrations better for alarms, etc.

I have not dabbled in third party bands, but have seen some folks with success post pictures.  I have however purchased third party frames (black), and hit or miss depending on the vendor.

Hope that helps.

my wrist is 6.75".  I had the large band that came with the Blaze, had to wear it looser as i was breaking out.  I switched out to a stainless mesh milanese loop band that is perfect for me. There is a thread here called "3rd party bands", that can give you lots of information. (pictures included)

Thanks!  I've tried the metal dress watch band without much success.  Looks great, but due to my wrist size I'm between links by just enough that it is either too tight or too loose.  My father on the other hand his metal band fits him perfectly.  Finally got the leather strap and have enjoyed that band.  Add to that a third party black frame and it looks amazing.

I imagine somewhere down the road we'll have a ton of frames and bands to choose from offered directly by fitbit.  The bands are too expensive, but for frames it's probably best to go directly with them as half the ones I've ordered aren't tight enough.  So even if they charge $30 for the frame as opposed to $8 on amazon, it'll be worth it.  $99 for a band vs $20 or whatever elsewhere?  not so much.  Appreciate the insight so I know where to look if I choose to expand the (growing) band collection further.

vovo fit and UMTele are very good fits-both my royal blue, regular gold and pink frames snap tight and the buttons work well for the last month,  (time will tell).  I don't think fb will go into accessories as the profit margin would be small compared to all the 3rd parties.  Just like cell phone cases made by 3rd parties are superior to the phone brands--I prefer the Otter Box over the Samsung case for 1/2 the price--but i do see your point. ( Especially since the *announcement* that if you are wearing a 3rd party band or frame--that it voids any warranty--I intend to take that statement to customer service).

I do hope that in the future--fitbit will just sell the device as an option for less $$.

(btw--I also have a blonde Pom dog)

I missed the warranty stuff, good to know.

I have ordered several different black frames, got a blue as well.  Of course all come from China.  Maybe 2 out of 3 black frames work.  The blue one was too loose.

Fitbit actually wants to be in the accessories category because margins are stupid good for them.  I mean, they charge $99 for a band that probably costs them a couple of bucks.  As long as they keep that price point they'll get enough suckers (like me) to buy enough to make it worthwhile.  They sure are missing out right now though because Blaze users are clamoring for other colors in frames (and how about those clock faces?).

I'll check out those third party frame makers to see if the ones that worked came from them.  Can't believe they didn't just launch with the black frame, seriously makes a world of difference in the look.

Thanks again!
