Fitbit Dashboard not showing steps correctly

Here is an interesting one.  Yesterday, I synced my fitbit at around 5PM with 9,253 steps, which updated my dashboard.  I then finished the day at 13,029.  When I synced my fitbit this morning, it showed only 9,253, which feeds into my weekly competition, etc.   Today the fitbit is synced fine.

Here is where it gets interesting.  On the app, if I go to yesterday, click on the steps on the dashboard, it brings me to the daily history, which also shows 9,253.  Then I click on yesterday 9,253 which shows the steps with the bar graph, and again 9,253.  Then I click the 2 way arrow in the right corner and the color graph says steps 13,029!  Does anyone have an idea on how to get the dashboard to reflect the correct steps, so that the rest of the steps in my weekly challenge, etc shows the correct number.

FYI - I have reset the fitbit already and have the latest version of the app on my iPhone.

Thank you in advance for your help,

Adam

Hi @Adammac76, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

This is very strange, but I've seen this happening when users log activities manually. Not sure if this is your case, but if it is, logging activities manually will show up on your dashboard but, these manually entered activities can mess up your daily totals.

If by any chance you logged an activity manually, try deleting it and see if this makes any difference in the way that your steps show on your dashboard.

If that doesn't help, I can probably recommend giving your Blaze a quick restart. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

Then, try to log out of the app and log back in. If the steps are still showing the same, I don't think there will be a way of changing that but the restart and logging out and back in to the app should prevent this from happening again.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help!
