Since I have updated my Blaze tracker firmware, whenever I try to view a completed exercise the Fitbit app crashes. Even more annoying, is that after each crash of the app, the notification settings also seem to disappear e.g. I go into notifications to check why I'm not receiving them and I get the 'enable notifications' screen, even though I have already enabled on my phone. I then have to disable and re-enable notifications to get them to come through to my Fitbit.
Syncing also seems to be really sketchy - occasionally doesn't sync for hours if I don't open the app and there doesn't seem to be any reason for this.
I updated my Blaze firmware again yesterday and still have the same problem.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app a number of times.
Blaze firmware version: 17.8.301.7
Google Nexus 5x running Android 7.0
Fitbit app: 4.0 (up-to-date according to the Play Store)
Can anyone help?

Normally on android if an app starts misbehaving after an uodate, it means the update was not successful. Simply delete the app and do a complete install from the play store.

Hi there,
Thanks for your suggestion. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app a number of times, I've tried clearing the cache and restarting the phone between uninstalling and reinstalling.
Is there anything else I can try when removing the app (e.g. could I be leaving some cached data somewhere that is causing the crash)?

I have been facing the same issue since I bought fitbit blaze couple of weeks back. Then for a different reason I downloaded 'Microsoft Outlook' app couple of days back. Today when I tried again to setup the notification it worked!!
It seems that for email notifications, Fitbit supports only few clients. Before downloading Outlook I did not have any email app on my phone which is supported by Fitbit and hence it crashed every time.
Solution:
Download Microsoft Outlook app on your phone (you don't have to setup any account in outlook only having the app will suffice) and then try to set your notifications and it will work. Incase you dont want to keep the outlook app on your phone after verifying that the notifications are working fine, you can go to Notifications tab on Fitbit app, disable 'email notification' first and then uninstall the Outlook app. Once you disable 'email notifications' it will not matter whether you have any email app. The notifications will work seamless after this.
Let me know if it works!
