Fitbit app update caused heart rate monitor to go out?

My LG V20 received a Fitbit App update on the Play Store last night, and around the time that I updated it, my heart rate monitor seemed to stop working.

It's always been set to auto, and I switched it to on, then back to auto to no avail. I've restarted my Fitbit and phone multiple times as well as uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app on my phone.

When I look at the monitor itself on the Fitbit, whereas it used to rapidly blink, it now only has a slow and steady flash.

Does anyone know if it's an issue with my firmware or the app? I just find it odd that it happened when I updated the app on my phone.

I'm very sorry to hear that your heart rate monitor is not responding after the app update.

I'm not sure if this has to do with the update directly but since you've already tried restarting your tracker, uninstalling and reinstalling the app and switched the settings from Auto to On to no avail, I'd recommend setting up your tracker as a new device.

For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem and hopefully this could make the heart rate monitor to respond again.

Let me know how it goes. Good luck!

I actually tried that this morning and the removal and second pairing of
the fitbit to my phone also did not work.
