Fitbit blaze won't set up

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just got my Fitbit blaze. Downloaded the app and started to go through the set up section. I got so far and then it said the Fitbit need updated. So I clicked update but it told me I didn't have enough battery and that I need to plug it in. I plugged it into the computer and it made a ping sound (which I assume means that the laptop has registered the devices). The battery status in the app hasn't foment from "low battery" to "battery empty" (!!!!!! IT'S IN THE CHARGING CRADLE PLUGGED INTO THE COMPUTER FOR OVER AN HOUR!!!!" Its past 6pm so can't phone Fitbit uk. Tried the Facebook page but no reply there's 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 why is this so ridiculously hard to set up/ not user friendly????

Use a phone charger with a USB port. The amps coming out of a PC USB port are exceptionally low and often shut off if the PC goes into sleep mode.

I just opened up my Fitbit Blaze and followed the set up instructions.

It's not charging as the charging battery light icon is not visible per the instructions.

Also, the screen is not coming on.

Thanks

Until you setup the tracker, and the setup message dissappears you will not see a battery indicator.  A simple search of these forums will conf8rm.

You should feel a slight vibration when plugging in and this is telling you tyat the tracker is charging.

I'm having the same issue, been plugged in for over an hour, still says battery too low to continue setup.  I do not feel any vibration when it is plugged in, any other way to tell it is charging???

Fitbit.com display on the screen should only show when Blaze is not yet successfully set up and battery icon wouldn't show when charging until you set it up.

Currently trying to work it out with cust support. Even though it is successfully synced on 01/07/17 and saying battery half charged i get no further forward than the fitbit .com set up screen! A picture of this has been sent to cust support to confirm this.

I liked the days when we got an instruction booklet with steps 1-10. I am either totally stupid or the device is bust....

I managed to set it up after almost five hours of charging. It didn't vibrate when I put it in the charger or anything. I just gave up and left it plugged into my phone charger and it randomly started charging.

@RobTx if you do not feel a vibration while plugging it in ir unplugging, it isnt charging. Do you have a friend with a Blaze and can try there cable?

You have checked to make sure tyat the contacts are lined up whioe tge Blaze is in its holder.

You might have to give Fitbit a call.

I returned it and got another, it charged fine in the same computers USB port. Definitely a defective device. But, I also returned this one for a Garmin, I'd rather not have to carry a phone to use GPS tracking for runs. Thx for the help.
