Fitbit isn’t compatible with iPhone 8! WTH?!?!

C’mon get your act together. What’s the point of having this or any other Fitbit if I can’t use it? We’re a Fitbit family who just upgraded our phones. Maybe it’s time to look at the Apple Watch?

Whoa... Thats really good to know. My blaze that I've had for almost a year, is starting to act funny. Thinking the apple watch is where i'll go next

It is not at all uncommon for a brand new device to not be officially supported right away.

Most companies cannot get a new phone before it's released to the public. They then have to test it with their products and THEN update the website once they're sure it works as expected.

This kind of testing takes time.

The iPhone 8 has been available less than 2 weeks, which (in my experience) is hardly any time at all for compatibility testing.

Do you have an iPhone 8 and a Fitbit? Are you having issues?

I went from a iPhone 6 to an 8. I can’t get my Fitbit to link to my iPhone 8.

@JDubbs, you installed Fitbit and logged into your account. If you got anny prompts for permissuon did you accept?

Im assuming that you did not remove the tracker from your Fitbit account, no need to do this.

Well, I was told by Fitbit yesterday that they were not compatible with iPhone 8. Apparently today they are. My Blaze is back in action!!

I have tried all the trouble shoot options and I still can’t get text notifications on my Fitbit from my iPhone 8. I get call notifications but no text. Don’t know what to do anymore. It’s frustrating.

I was getting all notification from my iPhone 8+ until the latest Fitbit firmware update.  Now I don’t get any notifications even though they are all turned on.

Other than that, my Blaze is compatable with the 8+ and all tracking functions work.

I never realized how spoiled I got not having to pull my phone out of my pocket ever time it buzzed.

Well... that was easy.  Push and hold the upper R/H button for 3 seconds and turn notifications on, per this link.

The iPhone 8 was available before the iphone10. The iphone10 is compatible, so your theory does not compute!

Glad the issues I am having don’t compute for you. Good thing I didn’t ask
your opinion.

It took a few days after the iPhone 8 was released. But works fine now. Make sure your software is up to date and it should run fine.

My thought is that some troubleshooting may BT needed.
