After owning a Fitbit Zip, HR, Charge, Flex, Surge and Blaze I thought it was now time to upgrade to an:
Apple Watch.
I liked my Fitbit but build quality was awful, each one felt like they were made by Fisher Price and only used to last a few months before dying.
I traded my Fitbit Blaze and Flex for an Apple Watch Stainless Steel (S0 model) at CEX.
The Apple Watch build quality is at least 200 times better than any Fitbit. Battery life is over 2 days. I can track my sleep, compete with friends, HR, steps, etc.
With the share price going down lower every time I looked I felt Fitbit wasn't the company it was 1 year ago, definately not 2 years ago.
Shame really!
Good Luck to Fitbit in the future! I will still use MobileTrack and if they bring out a decent device! Who knows? I may go for it, but for now it's adios!

Let's put things in perspective. I still wear my Fitbit One every day... 16/7 (I wear a Versa to bed since it does auto sleep tracking). I know many friends to continue to use the Fitbit One as well.
The Fitbit One was released on September 2012. You know what else was released on September 2012?
The iPhone 5. I literally know of no one who still uses an iPhone 5, in fact, you can't even install the latest version of iOS on it.
Just my 2¢.

I liked my Fitbit Blaze. I’m 70 y/o
Button fell off,
Fitbit wanted to not replace Blaze. I have plenty invested in this watch already.
offered me a modest coupon.
Now I’ve concluded that if I am to pay for a new watch, I might as well go for an Apple series.
I’m most certain I will have peace of mind when it comes to quality & WARRANTY integrity.
Sad!
I spoke with Shaneesha at Fitbit (very nice and courteous).
Blaze battery life is 2 days+-.
Apple battery life is much longer.

Welcome to the community!
The Blaze's original battery life was closer to 5-7 days... not 2. Granted, it may only be around 2 days now, but that's a different discussion.
I don't know where you're getting your information from about the Apple Watch, but from their website:
"Our goal for battery life is 18 hours after an overnight charge, factoring in things like checking the time, receiving notifications, using apps, and doing a 60-minute workout."
So basically not even a full day, and that's after an overnight charge.
Also the battery degrades based on the number of charge cycles. If you only need to charge a device every 5 days, the quality of the battery will be five times better than a device you need to charge every day.
This is independent of who makes the device. Apple hasn't changed the laws of physics.
