Fitbit wont connect when I start excersise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit will sync on the app but then when I go to do some excersise aka running. The Fitbit blaze says "check Fitbit app" with a red phone and a line tbrough it. but nothing comes up on the app. This is odd as it is connected on the app but doesn't seem to want to connect from the blaze to the app. If this makes sense....can anyone help?

Did you open up the fitbit app on your phone?  Needs to be open so it can connect

Hi,

I'm having the same issue, has always been okay before. But tried to map a run and now it won't connect when I want to exercise.

Same thing "check Fitbit app" with a red phone. Sync works fine.

May i ask what the phone model your problem with?

Do you have a cellular connection?

I find that i sometimes have to free up memory before the Blaze will connect.plus i need Fotbit notification services running.

See the fitbit help doc

I've been having the same problem since iOS 11 was released. The only way I can get it to work is to hard reboot my phone and reboot my Blaze. It used to connect without issue before iOS11 was released. I didn't even need to have the Fitbit app open to get it to connect and and map my bike rides. I think there needs to be a firmware update for the blaze. Funnily enough the issue started right about the time the Ionic was announced. My wife's charge died about the same result the new trackers were announced too. Just over a year of use and dead...

I seen someone was doing a a full shutdown of Fitbit app to get connected GPS working for them. It is a problem related with the connection of the iPhone iOS 11 to Fitbit app to Connected GPS. I have been through two Blazes with the exact same issue.

Fitbit is working on it but dont seem to be making any progress on a fix. Issue also is happening in Charge 2s connected GPS

I actually tried this, this morning and it worked

I shut down the Fitbit app, shut off my WIFI and then started a run on my Blaze, GPS tracking worked. I will continue to try this method to see if it keeps working.
