Fixing the Blaze Home button - outside warranty

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with a home button that doesn't seem to be working? I'm outside my warranty and really don't think I would buy this again (FitBit kindly offered a discount if I want to buy a new one). I've tried the toothpick/canned air nonsense and it did not work. Anyone have better luck?
