Food - no barcode scan option (blaze+ Huawei P20)

Hi There,

I have a blaze and just recently started to look at food tracking.  My kids also use fitbit  but when I look at the food section on their app I see they have the barcode icon on the food section which is great for tracking the food intake quickly.  They are using Charge 3 and a Huawei P30, while I am using a Huawei P20 with my Blaze.

I reinstalled the app but the icon for bc scan still  there.. any idea why not?

Ps: Myfitnesspal works fine with bc scan on my P20

Hello there @shanles, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry for the late response. Thanks for the details provided and for taking the time to troubleshoot this situation prior to contacting us. 

Currently your Huawei P20 isn't yet a compatible device as our team is working to optimize the Fitbit app and ensure its functionality with this model. You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
