GPS Inaccurate after Blaze update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi all,

After this week's update, I've noticed my distance measurement is WAY off (as in I just ran a 4 mile loop and it says I ran 5.7 miles). I'm connected to GPS and have location set to Always on my phone. Not sure how else to trouble shoot or if anyone else is having the same issues...? I'm not doing anything different than I've done before.

Ya same here.....   I was so excited to be able to get a watch that would capture and calculate my miles for me.  No such luck.... here go still potting my steps into an Excel spread sheet.   I am a part of a group called Run the Year 2017.   They have this awesome online tracker I have connected to my account so I don't have to manually track my miles....  looks pretty pathetic so far with .1 or .2 everyday 😞     I didn't want the Surge because of the way it charged. I have 4 or 5 friends with them and they have all stopped using them because they cant keep a charger working.  So I don't know how they are as far as GPS goes.

This is a lot like the issue I am having, phone GPS is working and app is open and blaze is connected and set to use the phone GPS. Runkeeper on the phone plots the distance correctly, so it isn't the phone GPS, the fitbit app shows the same route, but not the same distance. This is on a bicycle so stride length doesn't come into it.

I haven't actually tried yet on my bicycle. If it's not the stride that its using then I really do wonder what it's doing?!
I'm no pro, but I am an enthusiast and highly competitive so it's just frustration when my tools don't work as advertised. Especially when you spend a lot of money on them.
I don't even know how they've gotten to this. The information that I export from fitbit is correct, yet what they display isn't.
I had a Microsoft band 2 and that thing worked amazingly! Vastly superior. The problem there was the build was bad and the strap split. When I took it back, Microsoft offered to replace it with the fitbit as they no longer make the bands.
If only I knew how bad these devices are.
I've been getting no responses from Fitbit. And so I encourage everyone I can to stay away. I'm sure everyone here does the same.

Hi Alejandra, what does it take to get a straight forward answer on what the issue is and when to expect a solution if any. I mean you have been recwiving a ton of complaints about this in several threads and most of them, including myself have followed all the steps that you provided and still the distance captured by the blaze is wrong. This is a very expensive piece of equipment, it is expected to perform, period!
