Is the app ruining at least on the background, and your gps set to high accuracy? For me Google Maps work in the other modes where Fitbit won't.

I have the same problem. I frequently am all set to head out, only to find a have to restart. Often, I have to restart both the phone and the Blaze. This morning, I tested the connection in the house, and said "Let's Go!", and I made the mistake of setting it back to the clock face. Not 5 minutes later, I went to get on the bike, selected Exercise/Bike, and after about a minute, got the "Phone not found". I had gotten used to this restart being required EVERY TIME FITBIT PUSHES A SOFTWARE UPDATE, but when the program hasn't even been updated? I have an Android phone (HTC One).

Two of our assistants at my office also have Blazes. One of them had the same issue on Walk. She has had success, and I just tried the same trick successfully on Bike, of just opening the app and letting it sync.

For the GPS to work, notifications must be on, go to music control to check.
On Android Location set so GPS, Network, and WiFi or on.
The App needs to running in the Background or frount.

I have the same issue (LG G3). Usually I unpair the Blaze bluetooth connection, restart Bluetooth on my phone, restart the Blaze, repair the blaze with my phone, and it works. It is very frustrating.

Great to see you around @KurtH and @xDcrook, @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by and the recommendations provided. I would like to know if you keep having problems with the GPS feature? If you do, I recommend checking this post where you will be able to find more information provided by our friend @bcalvanese to make your Blaze more accurate.
Let me know the outcome.

I have the same problem. After rebooting the phone it works for a short time. Then I have so reboot again or open the app. While the app is open I can connect to the phone. Most time I can close the app after connection. But sometimes the connection gets lost by closing the app. It is really annoying. I don't know if I will use connected GPS any longer. I usually track my runs with another app that has better GPS tracking and audio feedback, better statistics etc. Due to these problems I need two apps running. I'm glad that I don't run an Marathon. The battery won't survive 2 GPS-Apps, the music player and the Bluetooth headset at the same time. And that not only because of the not old battery is already getting weak (phone is 3 years old). I think I'll use Smart Track again. Although I don't have big HR display and pace. The pace is not the same as in my other app (it tells me every 500 meters) because they work different with the GPS data. Or I track in manually without GPS. Until it works properly again.

There are two main sections of the fitbit app.. The main program that has the user interface and the background program that handles notifacations and the GPS connection, this gets controlled by the notifacations on off switch for notifacayions.
I find the main program does not have to be running for gps to eork, the notifacations part need to be running.

This was happening with my Charge 3. Easily resolved with the following steps:
In FitBit App,
1. Go to the device settings.
2. Select "Notifications"
3. Select "App Notifications"
4. Check the Fitbit app in the list
