@ga70993 first I'll say that it is not a lazier light, but simply a green Led.
The reason it is on is so that your heart rate can be measure 24 hours a day.
If you would like to turn it off then simply go into your Blaze settings, either in the app or the Blaze and turn the Heart Rate off. If your doing it on the app you will need to sync.

A warm welcome to our new friend @ga70993! I'll be happy to help here. You mean the green light on the back of your tracker? Well, that's your HR sensor and uses the PurePulse technology. The PurePulse heart rate tracking is the only heart rate technology to offer automatic, continuous wrist based tracking for all-day health insights and workout intensity. It is uniquely designed to measure heart rate all day, with always-on optical heart rate sensors that still maintain extended battery life. PurePulse allows you to accurately track workout intensity and calorie burn with finely tuned algorithms that provide insight through interactive charts and graphs.
Check out your Fitbit Blaze's manual for any inquiry you might have. Also, You might have noticed that I moved your post from the Charge HR board to the Blaze board. In here you'll find more relevant info related to your tracker. Thanks for helping us on keeping the Community a tidy and organized place!
Catch you later!

By having the HR sensor on all the time how long does the battery last.

I charged my Blaze Saturday Morning, it is now Tuesday afternoon and I'm still above 30% but don't have a clue about how much above.
Normally I get 5 - 6 days.

Is that with the HR monitor on 24/7?

@mjgear23 thanks for your question! @Rich_Laue has provided a very interesting insight. I'd say to use the "Auto" option instead of "On" to save battery life as the heart rate monitor is active when you are wearing it and is inactive when you remove it.

Can you give me an amount of time you know, a day, two days ... that the tracker will then need to be charged because of using the heart monitor 24/7.

Not really, give it a try. Charge it up, turn the HR off and see how long you get. Then charge it again, turn the HE on and see how long it goes.
Now for a better data do both ways 3-5 times each, then average the data.

I don't get 5 days with mine. I sync quite often, and use the Exercise mode when at the gym. I think 3 days is all I get before I get the low battery email. I am ok with it, I just charge it when I am sitting down.
