Would the Fitbit HR monitor be more accuate if it was worn on the inside of the wrist (palm side) as opposed to the outside of the wrist? I just started wearing mine on the insode of my wrist as an experiment. Does anybody wear thier fitbit models this way? Have you been able to see a difference?
I have used both the Surge and the Blaze models with Heart Rate monitoring and have always worn them with the face on the top of my wrist (back of hand side). However, I recently read an article that Apple Watch designers wanted to have HR sensors on the inside of the wrist for improved accuracy but Tim Cook didnt want sensors in the bands. That got me wondering if inside the wrist wearing would be better.

I have a Surge and a Blaze. And I used to have issues with it reading my heart rate when I was exercising hard.
I tried the inside of my wrist, and this did work better for me. However I sitll had some issues with it not reading.
I finally found that if I wore it on my domanent hand, (right), very loose, on my right wrist right above the large wrist knuckle joint, right below my hand, back of the hand side, that I got a consistent accurate reading. My Surge is so loose enough that I can easily shift it up two or three inches up my arm. However when I exercise my arms getting bigger, closing the gap. By having it litterally at the end of my arm, right up against my hand, it worked perfectly on the surge and blaze.
To be honest, the rest of the time it's just on my left wrist. It works fine durning th day and night there.
