Since the new firmware update (17.8.301.8) the HRM of my Blaze is working worse. Even with the .7 it wasn't very well. During a run it shows 15-20 bpm less the my chest strap. I had it before that the Blaze was a bit too low, but only during the first part of the run. Later there was only a small difference. I don't think that it is depending on the temperature, because in October/November it was sometimes very cold, too. Also during my workouts the heart rate is too low. Sometimes lower than the heart rate while sitting at the desk. Which is shown too high then... I even reactivated the old module (which I should have thrown away as Fitbit said), but I had the same problems. So the Blaze is rather useless for my runs. Has anybody else these problems?

When I had the blaze, i found out that the position on the arm was crucial. I could get very good matcing resultswith the elliptical but if i moved the watch half an inch higher or lower, i would get crazy radings. although, it is a really good looking device, it drove me crazy at the gym. I got a philips watch instead. It is a medical accuracy device. But it does not have all the bells and whistles like the blaze does. I guess you have to pick your poison.

I changed the position without any effect. If I wear it more tight I can't put it higher on my arm anymore. Yesterday I did a short workout for testing it. After a few minutes running in my rooms the Blaze and the chest strap showed the same heart rate. Than I sat down again at my desk. The heart rate decreased. The Blaze stayed high for a few minutes. Then there was no HR anymore. When it came back it was the same high value. A few moments later again no HR. After a few minutes it was back but still 20 bpm higher than my chest strap. After another blackout it came back with nearly the same heart rate than the strap showed. I don't know what is wrong with it. It started with .7 firmware and went worse with .8. It can't use it for running anymore. It's better I try to connect my strap with my phone and let it tell me my heart rate.

Not sure about the latest firmware as i do not have the watch anymore. when i had it, the HR was pretty good during the day. I was pleased with it. At the gym, if i found the right spot, then it would be ok but the issue was to find the right spot on my arm. That is what was driving me crazy.

I watched the HR today, it's like a dice. I'm sitting at the desk or in my car at the parking lot with a heart rate as if I would move around a bit faster. It's nearly 20 bpm too high. Then suddenly HR is away, sometimes for several minutes. Coming back it is too high again. Sometimes it is normal a few moments later. Sitting at the desk with too high values, running with HR too low. What is the use of that? I spent 200 EUR for a tracker that is just a toy after an update a few months later.
