Heart Rate Inaccurate During Workout

Hi,

My new Fitbit Blaze seems to do a great job tracking my heartrate while resting or lightly active or running. However, the moment i start doing HIIT or bootcamp styled workouts, the readings go way out of whack. Typically the readings on the watch will show me a reading in the mid 120-130's while working out, but after my workout is complete and there is no wrist movement, the heartrate will suddenly spike to +160. I have tried repositioning the watch higher on my wrist and lower, but with no change. The readings are very inconsistent during my worksouts.

Has anyone else experienced this.. and managed to find a workable soulution...

Yes, if you do a search of these forums you'll find multiple threads on the subject. Optical wrist-based HR monitors are no match for chest strapped electrical ones during high intensity workouts.

@ajohnson_26 I don't see anyone recommending another product. I just see someone comparing accuracy between a chest strap and wrist based device. Are you suggesting they were recommending running out and buying a chest strap device?
