Heart rate always says 70 no matter my activity level

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My heart rate continues to display as 70 regardless of activity level. It appears as though it's working, by at least displaying a number at all, and the little heart pulses, but I know my heart rate isn't 70 at every moment in time.

A warm welcome to the Community @co-ree33.

Could you please provide me with some screenshots by following the instructions provided in this post, where your heart rate is visible? In the meantime, I recommend restarting your tracker and also take a look at the What should I know about my heart rate data? article.

Hope to hear from you soon. Smiley Happy

This has been happening to me since the last firmware (version 402). The automatic activity detection has evidently been faulty since then too.

And I know it's not related to my Blaze since my original device has been replaced under warranty and the new one exhibits the exact same problem.

It was all working fine before firmware 402. Unfortunately, for some obscure reason, Fitbit does not seem to acknowledge the problem - or can't spot the problem source.

Here is a photo of my screen. I wasn’t even wearing it and the heart rate still says 70. I’ve aready tried restarting, shutting down, etc. several times.

Exact same thing here. It often displays 70, even if I removed it.

Fitbit, will you PLEASE finally consider there is an issue with the latest firmware. I had my Blaze replaced on warranty (for a battery issue) and the replacement one, once updated, is having the same issue and can't track elevating HR.

Thanks for the update @co-ree33 and for the attachment. It's great to see you here @TheCyberKnight.

I would like to know if you have tried to turn off and on your heart rate? If you haven't, I recommend trying this and also, here you will be able to see some tips in order to obtain a better heart rate reading.

See you around. Man Happy

I am having the same issues just recently.  Heart rate is always saying 70 or not registering and my steps don’t sync to my challenges.  This all started after the new update! Never had any issues until now!

Of course I have turned it on and off, as i stated in a previous reply. Other posters are saying they have the same issue. This is a pretty serious software bug - Basically my fitbit is now useless. Please elevate this issue with the engineers. File a bug.

Hi all, and thing here, it's stuck at 70 since today's afternoon after the battery died and I reach home and charge the battery, the heart rate is showing 70 even if I am not wearing the watch. I have switch off, turn the heart rate to auto but nothing changed.

Firmware version: 8.402.1

I can see the is an old post, but do you have any information about it?

Hi Ryan,

I have contacted the fitbit support team via Twitter @fitbitsupport and they have helped me to "fix" this issue by sending me a replacement pebble.

It appears that the issue has not known fix through a software update just replacing the watch will work.

I hope they can help you.
