Was triming a bush for 40 minutes. Heart rate recorded up to 197bpm and averaged 160bpm. I am 78 and peak is 140bpm. But during the work i saw 100-120 bpm and didn't feel any super heart rate that was recorded. The arm that i used the trimmer was same arm Fitbit was on. I am assuming the vibrations from the trimmer gave the wrong bpm. Any one else have this happen? I never felt any problem with any super heart rate and assume it recorded wrong.

I am a 62 year old woman and I have noted on a half dozen occasions when my Blaze recorded my heart rate max at 200 during a workout. I've been told that if that was accurate, I'd be dead. 😉 I think that the Blaze just throws an inaccurate read sometimes.

Hey there @Bcuth39. Godo to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂
I'd say that you're right. It might have to do with the fact that the vibrations on the trimmer traveled through your arm and this made your tracker to miscalculate your heart rate. You can do an experiment and while you're wearing your tracker, start shaking your hand violently and you'll notice that the heart rate will go up.
In this situation, I would recommend wearing your tracker on your non-dominant hand and that should give you a more accurate heart rate reading.
Hope this helps and please, let me know if you need more help!

Thank you so much. I assumed that was the problem. Occasionally i see errors here and there. I am going to change to my right hand since i am left handed and might eliminate those errors here and there. Most activities are done with the left hand.
Will try that.........
