I am updating my Fitbit Blaze and again it is taking way too long. Why am I always told "hold tight. . .this can take up to 10 minutes." I have yet to have the update take just 10 minutes. Currently it has been over one hour. Can anyone offer insight.

Welcome to the forums!

Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it.

Also sometimes I cant get it to take on the computer but it will work fine if I do it on the phone. So I always try both ways.

But when I have trouble I always follow these steps and it works

Update by MichiganJeff
1) Restart your device

http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/?q=restart&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

In your smartphone, with your Bluetooth turned off,
1) Go to your Setting >Application Manager > Fitbit App
2) Clear Cache and Clear Data and Uninstall
3) Reinstall the app, and allow the app to turn on your smartphone's Bluetooth when prompted

In your fitbit app, go to your device, and:
1) Turn ON All-Day Sync
2) Turn OFF Always Connected

Thank you for all the suggestions, I will try to remember them during the next update. I started the update at 1:35 pm and it finished at 3:05pm. And that is about average for my Fitbit update times. I just wish Fitbit would tell me it is going to take hours not minutes. It frustrates me.
