Horse riding- counts horses steps

Is there any solution to this yet? I've ssen it mentioned before. I want to buy a blaze but it seems pointless as one of my main activities is horseriding. I would want to wear blaze to get the heart rate data but if you wear it on a horse obviously it picks up the stepping motion. Any step counter does. On my phone depending on how fast we are going I can get 5 to 8000 an hour. Is there any plans to find a solution for this or is there a solution I. E. Pausing or wiping that hours step count then logging the activity or do I just tale it off for those 2 hours thus missing counting a significant part of my heart rate increase a day?

I would suggest logging the activity as driving .  That will negate the false steps, but as it still will be recorded as an activity, you should still be able to see your heart rate data during the time period.

If you also find you get steps while driving, you might want to turn your Blaze off when you are driving -- that way you won't need to log any real driving, and you will know that in your case "driving" always means "horseback riding".

Haha. So on my log it will look like I'm doing cardiovascular driving :))
thanks. Wish they'd come up with an actual solution though. It's a common
enough sport ..

@Rich_Laue, that will show as 0 steps during the time period logged, however it will not negate the total steps for the day.

Yes it can but then it looks like you did 8000 steps a day extra anyway

I just realized yesterday my FitBit counts my horses steps!  Grrrrr.  You're right, it is a common enough activity and I am sure plenty of pros out there are wearing these. I hope there is a solution coming soon.
