Hourly activity is not registering even when my Blaze has said I have done more than 250 steps that hour. This has happened several times over the last week now.

Hello @Tatiana72,

Welcome to the community!

Your dashboard (either online or Fitbit App) can only report what it is aware of.  In other words, suppose:

  1. It's 11:50am and you go and get your 250 steps for the hour.
  2. The steps register on your Blaze.
  3. Your Blaze hasn't synced since 11:45am; it's now 12:05pm.
  4. It reports that you had not gotten your 250 steps for 11am.

Naturally, your dashboard can't possibly give you credit for the steps you got between 11:50am and 12pm since it is not yet aware of them.  Is there a possibility that this is what happened or is it still incorrect after you do a sync?

I hope this helps.

Blaze recorded more than 250 steps which I checked before I started walking for the hour, but the 250+ steps was not updated at all after syncing despite making 274 steps for the hour.

On a number of occassions 3 times now where I have done more than 250+ steps , they haven't registered or shown on the feature on the dashboard as done even after syncing and on 1 different occassion 1 of the hours wasn't updated untill the next day while other hours after it were updated after syncing on the day.

I've seen this problem with my Alta and find it very frustrating!  For example, at 9:50 AM I received my movement prompt, so I went for a walk around the block.  At whatever point within the next few minutes, my Alta buzzed, so I tapped to check it and got the "Congrats!  You won the hour!" message.  But when I synced it to my phone at 10:15, the hourly activity doesn't reflect the 250.  What's up?  This happens relatively frequently - at least 2-3 times per week.

I am having the same problem.  Stats show 295 steps for the 1:00 hour, but did not give me credit for that hour.  This happens 2 or 3 times a week.

I cannot tell if I'm not getting the 250 step reminder and I really missed the steps, or I did the steps and didn't get credit.   I suspect it's the first scenario becase if I pay close attention to what I'm doing, everytime I know I did 250 steps I do get the credit.  SO, why are reminders not 100% reliable ?  Known issue and a fix in the works ?

Guys, it's a bit dumb to say something is solved when it obviously isn't!  That solution doesn't work.

@AlejandraFitbitThanks for being involved.. I have documented what I see as one of the problems and here is the link again..

I cannot merge the two topics so it would be a help if they were merged in your good time.

Here is an example of what I call the "cusp problem". It is plausible a slight difference in timings between the Phone, and the PC Dashboard could make this happen.  I will leave it to your Engineers while I wait for my reply... Even though I received the gong for the 5-6pm time slot.

That is why I suggested, "If Fitbit use +/-5% on the step accuracy something like this could be incorporated". I say that because, when I was creating Activity Records for every hour of the 12 hours to monitor the problem some of the fluctuations were only  minus 6-9 steps and 5% is 12.5 steps.

Worth thinking about.

This is still a problem that is not solved. My Blaze shows 9 of 14 hours with 250+ steps, but even after syncing numerous times, the app will not accept the steps and shows only 8 of 14 hours with 250+ steps. Even though the app correctly reflects the total number of steps and all of the other stats from Blaze, it doesn't accurately reflect the correct number of hours with 250+ steps.

Best Answer

This is NOT SOLVED. It happens all the time. Especially if I don't sync with the App for a few hours. My blaze will show 250 steps for each hour and the App won't. I have to manually add it in which adds steps that I didn't take (duplicate steps). It needs to be fixed.

Yes this started happening with the last update. It's also counting a ridiculous  amount of steps for me (my actual tracker is not) wish I could attach a picture! Thanks for letting us know! I've been dealing with this since last Thursday!
