Best AnswerHi, @David1110 , I have both the Surge and the new Blaze. I find that the screen of the Blaze is definitely easier to see and works fine for me (I am not sure if it is the colour screen or the backlight or a combination). The screen lights up if you flick your wrist upwards (it has to be a definite and quick flick), or it wakes up with a tap or a touch of the button. Overall I have no issues seeing the screen of the Blaze (and I am 62 with quite poor eyesight).

Thank you Julia, I appreciate your time.
Everything points to the blaze being much better, but it's especially good to hear it from someone who has both the surge and the blaze.

@David1110 To add to @Julia_G's post, the brightness of the Blaze display can also be adjusted using the Blaze's on-device settings. The options for adjusting the Blaze's screen brightness include: Dim, Normal, and Max.
Hope this helps!
Where is that setting? I haven't found it!
edited to add -- Ah, the clue is in "the on the device settings" ... and there it is. Good to know!
