Hi all,
I received an Email from https://contact.fitbit.com overnight advising my case for a damaged fitbit was under investigation, apparently battery not charging. That's ironic given my fitbit works perfect and I didn't log a support call. The email asks for a quite a bit of personal information to details, however the worst part is the FitBit Support person advised the following which is a massive concern.
We'd like to inform you that we've gone ahead and checked the warranty status of your tracker and we've found out that it was just paired June 8th. We'd like to know if you did return the tracker to the shop where you purchased your Blaze. - Case #19527718
Can someone advise immediately how we can stop this, as I suspect some leach is trying to hack my account.
Thanks.

@10508863 Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We contacted our support team about this and someone will be in touch with you in the next 24 hours. In the meantime, I recommend resetting the password for your Fitbit account with these instructions here.

So tell me how someone, that intercepted only my email address was able to log a warranty claim and a replacement device was almost shipped to them ?
Secondly a support person named "Edna R" provided somewhat sensitive information that could have been used further to a low life hacker that wasn't authenticated.
Very interested in knowing whether you treat information seriously or I whether should purchase a device on another platform whereby by personal information will be protected.
