How do I unpair the Blaze without uninstalling the app?

When I initially got the Blaze, I paired with my newer tablet (with android 6 and Bluetooth 4), and my older tablet and phone (with android 4.2 and Bluetooth 2). I can sync from any device w/o connecting and view its data. But on my old tablet, it seems to restart my BT once in a while (maybe due to too much memory usage, causing the BT driver to restart?) and my Bluetooth headset loses connection.

Anyway, I wanted to unpaired the Blaze from my old tablet so that it won't try to communicate with the Fitbit device and cause havoc. I unpaired it and the Fitbit device shows up as 'available' on the tablet. But if and when the Bluetooth resets, the Blaze shows up as paired again.

Logging out did not resolve it, so I uninstalled the app and the Blaze does not show up as paired anymore, but then I reinstall the app and login, then the fitbit device shows up as paired again.

Is there a way to permanently unpair the Fitbit device so I can have the app running (and getting my activity data from fitbit.com?

Also, why is it when I am posting, it constantly complains when I post the term

I had to keep changing it to 'fitbit device' until my post passed some test and got posted.

It's great to see you around @phatbitzr.

I haven't heard something like this before, every one can type "Blaze" without an issue. Are you receiving an error for this or is it just automatically correcting, can you provide me with a screenshot by following the instructions provided in this post?

About the Bluetooth issue you are having, have you checked if your Fitbit app is updated? If you haven't, I recommend taking a look at the How do I update the Fitbit app for Android? post and follow the instructions provided there.

Let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

I've only started using the fitbit recently, so the app was only downloaded a couple of weeks ago.  Obviously, the old android phone/tablets has what looks like the old version of the app, w/o tiled dashboard or detailed sleep tracking.

As for typing the term forbidden term, you can see from the screenshot.  I substituted the number 1 for L, 4 for A, to no avail.

Did you get an answer to this question.  I have my syncing with 2 diferent iphones and I think it is causing the same problem you are having.  I did unpair, but like yours, it keeps showing back up.

I did not, I searched all over interweb, performing everything they said, such as 'unpair'/reboot, unpair/move fitbit far away/rescan, unpair/turn BT off/on, clear BT cache.  The only thing I did not perform is clear BT data.

I just live with not using the app on my tablet for now.  But I have to say, the Bla2e device still shows up as paired, but since I have no fitbit app on my tablet, it is not doing anything.

I uninstalled the fitbit app on my tablet, using my phone to sync via BT classic.  The Blaze device still shows up as paired to my tablet, but it is not wreaking havoc like before.

Today, I left my tracker at home, and decided to unpair the Blaze bluetooth device from both my phone & tablet.  The Blaze tracker did not show up as available BT device anymore   Once I got the Blaze back on my wrist, a BT scan still did not show the Blaze as available.  Now I paired the Blaze with my phone and installed the app back onto my tablet, and somehow the Blaze shows up as paired with my tablet.

I am wondering is the 'authentication' code stored with my account, thus it gets transferred from my phone's app to my tablet's app, and gets stored as 'paired'?  I would think this is a one time use code, unless it is a transfer of the public key from my phone to tablet.
