I have had my Blaze 1 year and 7 months and last night it died completely. How long are they mean to last? Is this normal. It was a present so I dont have a receipt etc so don know about the warranty etc.

Fitbit's warranty runs for 12 months from purchase but this is extended to 24 months if you are in Europe so depending where you are you may still be covered.
Before contacting customer support via contact.fitbit.com have you tried restarting the Blaze by pressing and holding the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen (this should take less than 10 seconds)?

My battery drains in 4 hours after a full charge. The reply from Fitbit does not help. It just said it was out of warranty period of 365 days and asked me to buy a new one. Nothing was mentioned about repair nor the reasons of failure.

So frustrated, just like you!! I had my second fitbit die 1.5 months after warranty expired!! Oh, of course, i got the customary 25% discount, but i want a product that works, not dies right after the warranty! #**ahem**product

It is so disappointing. After a short life of 26 months, Fitbit has not shown me the courtesy of offering any discount. I have read from the group that you can get it cheaper from Amazon than using their discount. However, I will not buy any Fitbit products after this experience and their pathetic services. In my opinion, it is not a matter of getting a new watch. Rather if it can be fixed by changing the battery, it is more environmental friendly. Fitbit does share this common environmental commitment in their business philosophy. So they do NOT have any after-sales service centres in their markets.
If you find any good reliable trackers. Please let us know. I am using my good old Casio now. It is not the best but it has been working for the last 10 years. It is an early job if the batttery needs a replacement.

I have now had mine for 1 year 8 months. I have turned off all notifications for it and I am lucky if I get 1 days worth of charge... disappointed as I have been a Fitbit owner since 2013.

I’m at 55 months. Seeing you folks above with a lot less, I guess I don’t feel bad. But, for the cash we have for them, certainly you would think this is a 7 year product. After doing some research, I guess it may be time to join the Apple community. Not much gracious customer service at Fitbit. Sort of a bummer cause I have enjoyed the Fitbit community and the product. I just can’t see purchasing every 2-4 years.

I was given the Charge HR as a present and used it every day for 18 months and it was still functioning when a friend sold me her new-and-worn-for-1-week Blaze (she was getting a Garmin to track her tuns better??) for only £20 - bargain!!
I have now had it 2.5 years and the only problem i notice is the charge does not last as long. I have notifications off on it all the time. I notice its worse when I am logging my food intake every day, which I have been doing religiously since the new year *NewYearNewMe*. I guess as it is syncing more to work out my activity level and calories left, it is draining the battery..? I used to charge it once every 5 days, now its every other day.

I got mine January 2017 and it's pretty much dead by early July 2020. My first Fitbit was a Flex that went from May 2014 to January 2017 so the Blaze lasted about a year longer than the Flex. Would've bought another Blaze except they don't make them anymore. Two devices lasted, in total, six years. I'm on my third iPhone in that time so make of that what you will.
I left my Flex on charge overnight at times and was told that would shorten its life (after it was too late). I charged my Blaze when it said it needed charging and didn't leave it on the charger any longer than it took to fully charge. I got a very reliable 5 days of use between charges for three years. Six months ago (January 2020) it dropped to about 4 days per charge and in the last week (July 2020) it plummeted from 4 days to 2 days to 1 day. This is almost an exact replay of the death of my Flex so I ordered a new device before the Blaze is completely gone. Had to get a Versa 2 since the Blaze was discontinued. Bummed I can't hold onto my accessories as the two Milanese loop bands (3rd party made) are great and I hate to lose them.

@Joseph357 What lens is plastic? It's a watch, not a camera. It has a gorilla glass display. No plastic there.
