This is from the fit notifications "readme":
Due to the new "Do not disturb" features of Android 6.0, if you use "do not disturb" mode (also called silent mode) then you will not receive notifications on your Fitbit device as Android disables notification forwarding. To avoid this issue manually, you have to change the notifications priority for Fit Notifications app.
To do so, go to "Settings>Apps>Fit Notifications". Note that this menu may be at a slightly different location on your phone. Then, choose "Notifications" and enable "Treat as priority". Then, when you use silent mode, enable "Priority Only". Doing so will allow you to get notifications via the app on your Fitbit device, but it will not make any notification sound on the phone as this app doesn't cause notification sounds or vibrations anyway.

Works now: I had to enable priority mode to get it to work (as described in the instructions).

Hi there @Tao75. Good to see you around!
you should get notifications even if your phone is in silent mode. The only way you will not receive notifications will be if you turn the notifications off or if your phone is in airplane mode.
Any other question you may have, let me know. I'll be glad to help!

Huh, this makes more sense. I didn't think of the "Do not Disturb" feature. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us @sveintore and welcome as well to the Community! 😄

Never known about the fit notifications until now, and read the solution to his problem on the install instructions, so just had to share 🙂
Installed here, but sadly I have to report that even though fit notifications says it's sent it does not appear on my blaze when the phone is in silent mode 😞

Yes, any app that will give notifications on the phone can notify you on the fitbit.
You select the application with notifications you want to be forwarded 🙂

@Tao75 yes they both are free, and work about the same way. So if one isnt working the other should.
Of course both are for android
