A warm welcome to the Community @Klawrence17! Currently, the Samsung 8 isn't listed as a compatible device. This is the reason why it won't sync to your Fitbit tracker. However, Fitbit is always adding new mobile devices to the list.

As an alternative solution, you can set up your new Fitbit tracker from your computer. You can use your Fitbit app to log activities or food.

Hope this helps!

Hey @t0rchard and @Klawrence17! I totally understand your frustration. Fitbit is always working to add new mobile devices to the list, I don't have an specific timeframe about when this is going to be added but you can keep an eye on the list

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience.

Did you do anything different? I too just bought one and have an 8+ and thought it was not going to be an issue. I had just upgraded from a charge HR, as I decided I wanted to go back to Fitbit after using a Gear2.

I found another post about it, tried it and it worked. The post said to
delete the app and disconnect from Bluetooth. Then reload the app and turn
bluetooth back on. BUT connect the blaze to your phone from the app NOT
Bluetooth. Then for some reason? turn your Wi-Fi off overnight on your
phone. This amazingly worked the next morning!
Hope it works for you too
