I had the same problem on a standard charger. Plugged into a higher output iPhone charger & off it went. After the initial charge would work on standard port. Good luck

If your tracker has the message www.fitbit.com/setup then yes there will be no sign on the display of it charging.
When you plug it into the charger it will give a slight buzz, this buzz will be your only clue.
Let it charge for an hour and try again. The good news is that the Battery Low warning comes after the tracker is setuo, and now just the firmware update needs to be done.

I was having the same problem, and I plugged the charger into my iphone wall mount to charge it, and it finally started to do the needed update.

Welcome to the Community @fisher1 and @jlt3892! I would like you to double check that you're following this procedure to properly charge your tracker

When you plug your Blaze into the charger, a battery icon should appear but it disappears after a minute or so.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

Hi community!  Here's the answer you're looking for!

I just received my Blaze in the mail, and had the same issue.  Not enough charge to even complete the setup process, and zero indication of anything happening when it was in the cradle (other than the setup screen still being shown).  No battery icon, no vibration when it was plugged in, nothing.  I also tried changing from the computer USB to a wall outlet as well, with no change in the situation.

But I've found the solution!  Let your Blaze sit in the cradle for about 10 minutes, then go back to the app on your phone WITH THE BLAZE STILL IN THE CRADLE!  Hit that button to "Try Again" on the app (referring to continuing the setup once there is a charge).  The setup will then continue while your Blaze is in the cradle.  You will now see a status bar on the Blaze screen, below the Fitbit logo (the diamond made of dots).  Your phone screen will also show a similar status bar below the logo, with a heading that says "Hang On..."

I hope this works for everyone else like it did for me!  I know how frustrating it is to have a new toy that you can't play with 🙂

I had the same problem in my laptop and in my wall charger.  I plugged it into a tiny little charger I use to charge my phone overnight and it instantly started updating and in an hour or so was completely charged.  I don't know what was wrong with the wall charger or my laptop; hopefully I don't always have to use that one little no-name charger in that one location, but I was extremely excited when it started the initial charge.

A warm welcome to the Community @Superwomanaj! Thanks for the details that you've provided. I would like you to make sure that you're following this procedure to properly charge it

You can charge your tracker by using a USB port on your computer or other low-energy device. You can also use a UL-certified USB wall charger. Could you provide me with a photo of the tiny little charger you're using?

Keep me posted!

Yes, I'm doing exactly as the Blaze instructions say but same thing. No battery indication, no buzz - nothing. I literally can't do anything with this brand new watch. Why doesn't this come with a normal charger???

Hello @Beags, has your tracker been setup yet, or does it still have the www.fitbit.com/setup message?

If so there will not be an indicator.

Fitbit comes with a usb adapter to charge your unit, any usb port on a computer or USB phone type charger will work. Look for one that is UL rated if your in the USA.

I would use a little isopropyl alcohol on a q-tip or a small sheet of paper. Then place it in its cradle aligning up the contacts. Some times i also find a little oressure helps, in that my cover got cracked on the second day.

Hi,

It still has the fitbit.com/setup screen. It's charged for about 3
hours now and still not enough battery to run the update. It pairs and
allows me to access the Blaze from app but nothing on the actual
watch.

Tried the alchohol and q-tip, still nothing. Tried USB phone charger
in the wall and multiple USB ports on my computer.

Nothing.

Spent an hour on the phone with customer service and they tell me to
return it. However, I'm not convinced since I've seen a few people on
the forums with the same problem who exchange and the problem
persists....

There might be something wrong with your cable. Visit a Fitbit retailer and see if you can test your Blaze using one of their cables.

I can charge it with my laptop or any USB port - NOW.  But the first time the only way I could charge it was with the the one I mentioned in my original response.

Thanks for reaching out... yeah I just figured that out with mine too. The
only way I can get it to charge was using the Apple wall charger, which is
ironic.

Now I can't get it to sync texts at all and only intermittently with the
emails. I'm pretty frustrated to be honest. I'm just going to take it back
and get a Samsung or Garmin.
