I think the biggest problem that I'm having is that my phone doesn't show the Blaze as being paired. Through the app, it claims that it has paired after I input the four digit number and it attempts to update. But, without fail, it will eventually say to "enable Bluetooth".
Nothing has been turned off in the timeframe between it supposedly pairing and trying to set up.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app. I've turned off Bluetooth, rebooted my phone, logged back into my account, re-paired, everything, it will not show up as paired on my phone. I've tried to pair it through the usual, coventional method through my phone, but it will then say that the Blaze is rejecting the pair. It does show as "available," but not paired.
I've only seen the status bar that is supposed to appear twice and for mere seconds as it will then kick me back out telling me to enable Bluetooth.
So, how can I just keep it as a paired device? If I can do that, perhaps the rest of the setup will work. Perhaps.

Does the Blaze show up as connected to your Fitbit account? Once the Fitbit connected to your account, the app then does the pairing, then it might shoe on the phone
As for the Surge, do uou see a progress bar for the update

The Blaze consistently showed up on my Fitbit account, it just wouldn't show as a paired device on my phone, which was causing some havoc with it trying to update, as it kept asking to "enable Bluetooth".
As I hoped when I posted the thread, in an effort to further mock me, it does finally say that it is a paired device and that has allowed me to see the status bar a few more times. I think it is around 3% at this point. It still won't hold a connection for the update, but I've read where it doesn't start completely over, so at some point next month, I should have an updated Blaze.
Maybe.

Yes, it finally updated. Right now, I am trying to get it to hold that five day charge. I'll take four days at this point, but 48 hours seems to be the top as of now.

Hi @SunriseRunner41 I'm glad to hear you where able to update your Blaze! 🙂 The battery of your tracker will depend on your interaction with it. If you use music control, have the all-day sync feature turned "On", the battery of your tracker will decrease. Please review the help article: How do I maximize my tracker's battery life? for tips on improving the battery of your Blaze!
Let me know if this helps! 😉
