When I bought the Fitbit Blaze, it was sold to me as a watch - not a fitness tracker. Now I am told that the watch I bought want a watch at all!

Could you please explain why it is not a watch? It tells me the time, I thought that was the main function of a watch.
OK it is not a watch any more than the Apple Watch is a watch
Yes it does a lot more than any simple watch was designed to do. To say it is not a watch is like saying that your cell phone is not a phone,

Let me explain. My Charge 2 isn’t working. I was offered an upgrade and when I tried to pay to upgrade to the ionic I was told I couldn’t as the ionic is a watch, when I asked why the Blaze was included in the offer, but not the Ionic I was told that the Blaze is not a watch. So why are they marketing it on their website as a watch? When I bought my sons Blaze it was sold to me as a watch.

oh you r saying that they don't want to upgrade u 2 the ionic because its a watch but the blaze is just a fitness tracker. So its categorize as something different, when in actuality they want that full price ionic money and not the upgrade money. i am returning mines because it is exactly the same as the blaze except is has its own gps. i am not a runner so its not really a benefit for me. i am glad i kept my blaze on hand.

The ionic is no more of a watch then your Charge 2 is, they both track exercises as well as the movements and sleep. They also both will tell the user the time, to me this makes both trackers a valid watch.

I bought a cell phone, and am now told that it is not a phone. I'm told I can text with it, play videos, browse the Internet, read email, and do video calling. It obviously is not a phone.

Fitbit is an activity tracker first and then a watch (shows time + date) with some smart features (notification).
Apple and Samsung are more of smart watches and then activity trackers although they're heart rate sensors are way off and super inaccurate but that's another story for another forum/thread
