My Fitbit Blaze is saying I walked 3000 plus steps and over a mile. Problem is I was either sitting at this time or sleeping. Why is it giving me false readings?

Having similar problem. Blaze is measuring about 8200 steps for the day vs 4500 on heart app on iPhone. How do I correct this problem?

I don't have either of those issues on my device.

Welcome to the Community @Jchristian and @rg654! I've seen that when you have steps in an hour that you were supposed to be sleeping or not moving at all. The reason may be because you've manually logged an activity during this time. Please check your Dashboard to make sure you don't have any.

Also, regarding your inquiry @rg654. If you're using two different tracker, it may not give you the same results because each one has its own algorithms to track the data. You may want to try comparing your information with days that you've done before like yesterday's data to today. However, you need to do exactly the same activity so it can display the same.

Today Fitbit Blaze - so far - is198 steps vs 27 on Health app on iPhone. Looking back at yesterday's just now - nothing changed from when I last posted. Can't figure if one is overestimating or one is underestimating.

Manually count the steps and compare them to the tracker. That's what I would do.
