hello, I've been wearing my fitbit blaze for a while now and been fairly active. Over time I have managed to get my resting heart rate to go below 60 to about between 55 and 57 beats per minute. Unfortunately I have had tendenopathies leading to bursitis. I have been home from work and resting. The resting heart rate increased and then decreased back to 55, however after having a cortisone injection it went up again, slightly down and is now going up each day. I am attending physio sessions and I have been sleeping better and walking to keep my steps going. Should I be concerned that my resting heart rate is increasing, I hope someone might let me know.
Many thanks and have a wonderful day,
Stella☺

Good to see you around @Paparella! 🙂
I'd like to help you out with this question... Your heart rate may be affected by any a number of factors at any given moment. Movement, temperature, humidity, stress level, physical body position, caffeine intake, and medication use are just a few things that can affect your heart rate. Different medical conditions and medications can impact your heart rate.
While Fitbit is not a medical device and is not meant to be used to diagnose any condition, it sure is a good indicative of your overall health, so if you think that this is not normal, the best thing is to check with your doctor for them to clear out any doubt.
Hope this helps and if you need anything else, I'm always around to help!
