I bought a Blaze last year to replace my Surge. Sadly, I didn't use the exercise features for over a year, because I was lazy and hadn't exercised. I am frustrated with the display options.
I want a model where I am able to see the primary data points (time lapsed since exercise began, current pace and distance traveled) without having to take my eyes off the road to swipe back and forth. It is a safety concern for me to take my eyes off the paths and trails where I run to access this information.
There has to be a way to create an update that will allow you to customize what you can see, just like I had with the Surge- which was an older and less sophisticated device. I want to be able to view elapsed time as the primary data and in no specific manner- the distance ran and current pace on the same screen without having to swipe. I don't understand why this is not an option with the Blaze.
I have been working with customer support and they say there is no way for me to update or customize my settings, and I have to make my suggestion here in the hopes that you can make this a display option. I am ready to leave fitbit and buy a garmin that will allow me to see the information that I want if you are unable to create this display option.

Hi there @td1616. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂
When it comes to the way that your tracker will display your information when you're tracking it, you can sure get all this information by just tapping on the screen. For example, if you go for a run, swipe to the third screen on your Blaze which says "Exercise". Here, tap on it and choose the type of exercise you'd like to track. Once you're there, wait for it to connect to your phone to use the Connected GPS function and to be able to see the map of your route or simply press the Start button. Once you're at it, you can tap on the display to see steps, current time, time elapsed, distance, heart rate, pace and calories. This actually sounds pretty much to what you'd like to see and this doesn't really distracts you much from the road. I've done this myself and it takes a few taps to get to the information I want to see without taking my eyes completely off the road, so I think this will work well for you.
Hope this helps and if you have more questions, feel free to tag me! 🙂
