Is there a possibility to initiate a phone call from Fitbit Blaze?

Since it can accept / reject phone calls having a dialer or access to certain contacts would be an awesome feature! It would further reduce the need to pick up the phone especially when on the move. You just have the headphones / Bluetooth in your ears, you dial the number and you are all set!

Are there any plans for such a feature in a future update?

Fitbit don't announce future plans like this so all we can do is wait and see.

I understand what you are saying but at the same time it is important to let them know what functions we would like to have added. They need to know so the design team will find it worthwhile.

Being able to make start a phone call from the Blaze will compliment/ complete its functionality so thumbs up everybody!

If you would like to let the Fitbit developers know of your idea, it would be important to post in the Feature Request Board. This is where the developers look to see what ideas the users have. Posting in this section most likely will only be asking fellow fitbit users.

Now i have some thoughts on this subject.

First wi5hout a speaker or microphone in the tracker. The user still would need to pull the phone out of the pocket, what would be the advantage of this feature?

Thank you for ur suggestion- I will make sure I post there.

With regards to your second point - wireless is huge right now especially for professionals that are on the move and/or talk a lot on their phones. And even if they don't use Bluetooth they will resort to some sort of headphone permanently "attached" to their ears. The idea is that since the Bluetooth/ headphone is in your ear and you are running around you don't take the phone out. You have e.g. 6 contacts preselected as speed dial or a small dialler on the watch and you start the call from there. The phone never leaves the pocket, bag or wherever it is located.

I thought I mentioned it on my initial post but apparently I haven't done a very good job explaining it.
