Is Fitbit blaze worth the price?

Hi All

 

just wanting to find out what everyone thought of their Fitbit blaze. I've been thinking about getting one but wanted some opinions first.

 

Part of the reason I ask is because I need XL size and I'm struggling with the fact that I have to order from Fitbit at about au$100 more than I can buy a large from other online / physical retailers (which I think is a rip). So I'm still unsure whether to go with Blaze or another brand fitness tracker. So any blaze opinions (or even on similar products from elsewhere) would be much appreciated

Following. Looking at buying one but cautious that it has already been out for a year. I see it had a software update but surely Fitbit will release something else soon enough..

Morning, I had a similar experience.

 

I was planning on getting the Charge 2, and as luck would have it, a local shop was running a special on the Blaze. According to Fitbit's sizing charts I also had to get an extra large band which wasn't available at the shop.

 

Considering the discounted price, I decided to buy a large and then just buy an XL strap on Ebay.

Anyway, I received my Blaze 2 days ago and to my surprise, the large fits perfectly with room to spare.

 

I'm wearing it just behind the wrist-bone (20.5cm) with 4 more notches to spare. If I use the very last notch I can fit it at least 2 maybe 3 fingers above the wrist bone. I had measured my wrist using a tailors measuring tape.

But E-bay and Amazon has third party leather/steel available from about $7 to $20. It might work out cheaper to but the device locally and then import an XL band.

There is a sale going on right now.  I love my Blaze which I've had for about 4 months.  So far no problem.  Tracking, music control awesome.  I love having the info on sleep and movement.

So I picked one up at jb hi fi for au$198 with a free extra band. I was surprised to see that even though I was mid-range for an xl and at the end of the range for xl above the wrist the large fits comfortably with 4 notches spare at my wrist and 1 notch above my wrist. So let's see how it goes

Wow thank you so much for posting. When I checked there last week, they weren't on sale so I was going to get the Charge 2. Now I can see they are on sale, I'll head there!
