I have had my Fitbit for only 4 months and now having issues with the screen on the device. Beware of using this product as it leads you to believe that the product is "waterproof". Well it is not. It is only "water resistant", which means that if you get it wet and stops working properly, then technically it is your fault and Fitbit will not replace the device. Instead, I was advised to put my Fitbit in a bowl of white rice for 24 hours and "see if it starts working again". Not only are the customer service representatives rude, they argue with you about how you are wrong. I told the representative that I believed my Fitbit was "glitching" to which he informed me that "it is not glitching because that would mean the software is not working". Please forgive me if I am not a technical person and do not know how to describe in the proper term as to what is exactly happening to my Fitbit. The screen is not letting me swipe up or down or side to side and the buttons on the side are not working. The screen literally goes from notifications to exercise to music all on it's own - if that's not a "glitch", please enlighten me on what is going on here. I definitely do not recommend Fitbit and most certainly will be switching to the Apple watch instead.

When it was on the web site it clearly stated it was Water Resistant to so many meters. It was a small amount and it also stated it was sweat proof and splash proof.
It was never meant to swim with.

A warm welcome to the Community @ktulk and @WendyB thanks for stopping by.
I am sorry to hear about what happened with your Blaze and would like to know if the instructions provided by our support team worked for you? In the meantime, I recommend taking a look at the Can I swim or shower with my Fitbit device? article, where you will be able to see as mentioned, that the Blaze isn't a waterproof device and it is water resistant.
Catch you later.
