Is there a maximum pause on an activity?

I paused a Bike activity on my Blaze at my turnaround spot just long enough to eat an energy bar and take a few swigs of gatorade. When I went to restart my activity tracking, it looked like it was finished and had a rundown of stats with a done button. When I pushed the single button on the right, it went back to the main exercise screen, ie. wanted me to start a new activity. How do I get a whole ride into an activity. Can the amount of pause time be increased? I assume it timed out or something.

During the ride, I use the pause and play icons on the screen to pause and stop tracking of my ride, which is what I did at that spot.

Im not sure if there is a timeout, but your post makes me think that there is. 

Alternatively the lower right button pressed, or lower corner of the screen, on the Blaze was accidentally touched. Some investigative testing is needed, something a typical user would have no trouble doing.  Let us know the results.
