Just got a Blaze, Wont Charge (I think) or let me do initial set up.

Hi so I just got my Blaze today, and when I went to perform the initial setup it told me the battery was too low, so I plugged it into the charging dock for about 4 hours and tried again and same deal, too low battery to update. when I plug it in to the computer the computer finds and recognizes it, but it still seems to not be charging.

You may well have a defective unit.  However, you might try resetting the device.  Press the left button and the lower right button on the tracker at the same time and hold for about fifteen seconds or until the Fitbit Logo appears.  Then try recharging.

 

If that doesn't work (assuming the USB port you are using works) either return the Blaze to the store where you purchased it for an exchange or contact Fitbit's customer support.  Click on "Help" at the bottom of the page and then click on "contact customer support."  Fitbit's customer service is awesome.

Yeah they are pretty good, ive gone through 4 charge HRs and they were relly awesome about all of them. I've tried restarting and other USB ports with no luck, so I guess I will be phoning them tomorrow

@RyanCRG if you have a win10 computer and the app recognizes it, I would continue with the setup this way.

Yeah I tried with windows 10, same problems but I let it drain the battery and left it overnight and it fixed itself apparantly!
