Plugged USB into laptop and not getting the battery sign appear on screen ie still only showing the flashing dots - so not sure if charging properly? Won't respond when touching screen. Any ideas anyone?

What flashing dots? Thats not a description I recognise.

Have you tried a reset? Hold down the left and bottom buttons together for 15-20 seconds.

Sorry, I meant the Fitbit symbol. Do I have to pair with mobile device first or should the screen just respond to touch anyway? It's not responding at the moment. Will try the reset suggestion & see what happens. Thanks

A warm welcome to the Community @inghamspur@craig4941 it's great to see you around and @MikeF thanks for stopping by.

It's weird to hear that your trackers are not showing the battery icon at the moment of charging them, as recommend please restarting your trackers and the clean the charging contacts on the back of your Fitbit Blaze, since over time the contacts can accumulate dirt and debris that prevents them from making a good connection to the charger. Use a toothpick or toothbrush to clean the charging contacts; do not scrape them with anything metal because this can damage the plating and result in corrosion.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

This is not an answer. The only way to restart the Blaze (at least according to your website) is to swipe to a menu to restart. How do you do that when the device needs an update, but won't update because of insufficient charge, and we can't charge it. This seems to be a common issue based on the forums and a better answer than "it's weird" would be appreciated.

If it needs a charhe, you place it into the cradle and plug it into a powered up usb port. @Shadowdancer you say this is a common problem then I'll assume youve read a similar answer to what im going to give as many times.

Your tracker will do a short vibration when plugging it in. Until it is setup there will not be any charging icon on the screen. Many laptops and some computers don't have enougj current to adequately charge te Blaze, you might consider using the phones charger.
